Pale Master - The Book of the Dead

The Book of the Dead can only be obtained in the Village of Doth: The Crypt Raids. It does not drop all the time; it drops every few runs, which makes it hard to get.

Once the user has used the Book of the Dead, they will receive two items: the Summon Gem & Skull Gem. After summoning a creature from the book to your skull, use the Skull Gem to pick the summon and then use the Summon Gem tool, which will summon the chosen entity for you. This feature was designed to allow the caster to summon their chosen pet without being bothered by conversations getting in the way. Examine the gem for more details. For players who already have the Skull Gem, you will need a DM to give you the Summon Gem.

The book of the dead can be used at any level of PM.. its just the summons that acquires of the right level to spawn

PaleMasters can use the Summon Skull Gem on itself to keep track of the summons they have and to know what level you need to summon that specific creature in Palemaster levels.

Once the user has used the skull on the Book of the Dead, it will tell you which summon you have received in your combat log. Also, note that it is always random; it does not search for the ones you already have; it will just override it, so it's like playing a huge game of Russian roulette.

It has been advised that players should only use these books if they are going with the route/build of a Caster Palemaster, or you will receive a summon that you will not acquire if you are too low in your Palemaster levels.

The summons are based on the Greater Undead summons, but these are custom-made for 12 dark secrets.
