Library Quests

This book is to help those who have yet to partake in the quests given by Alexandria in the TCwaN Library. While the library has had a lot of help over the years, but they are always looking for another helping hand. Here are the things that Alexandria is looking for these days.

1. News for the Great Owl - Alexandria will have you take a letter to the Great Owl in his woods North of Crossed Blades. Just take it and drop it off to him! Reward: 100 Epic XP

2. Donation Receipts - The Library could use a tax write-off. As such, the next task is to buy one of each donation receipt from the construction foreman at the front door of the temple in TCwaN. You’ll the 20 gp receipt, the 200 gp receipt, and the 2000 gp receipt. Bring them back to her and you’ve completed this task. Reward: 200 Epic XP

3. Beryl Grotto’s books - The next thing she needs is a new pair of books for the library’s collection. She will have you take a trip to Beryl Grotto and take the Speakers Book Engraven with a Dome and the Speakers Book Engraven with a Cube and bring them back to her. You can access the area via the Portal Plane (SE portal) or through Lord Rockmore’s parlor (this will cost you 1000 gp). Bring back the books and you are done! Reward: 800 Epic XP.

4. Gorg’s Journal - While he is a degenerate, Gorg’s infamy has made his personal journal a hot commodity. Alexandria would like you to obtain a copy of his journal, which you will have to pry from his cold, dead hands. Find Gorg in one of his usual spots (Room with 7 Doors, Corridor of Fire, Plane of the Elderkind Entrance, Plane of the Elderkind near the Plane of Aurum, Beryl Grotto, or The Gateway. Bring her the book! Reward: 800 Epic XP

5. Write a book - Alexandria is looking for some new literature to add to her amateur section. The request is that you write a book, similar to this one, on the 12ds forum that will be helpful to other players. Find a topic you know about, see if its already covered, and get to writing! Once posted and reviewed, a DM who finds it acceptable will give you a Publishing Contract. DMs may push you to add more detail or give more backstory. Take the criticism! It will give us better quality books in our library. Bring the publishing contract to Alexandria. Reward: 1600 Epic XP.

6. Isaac’s Notes - Alexandria would like to give you something in return for all you have done, and she learned some things from the various books and items you brought her! Bring her a Large Emerald (found on the dead body of Emerude), Scrap Iron (found in Gathol Lab 6.023x10^23 on the dead body of the steel golem), and Beeman’s Honey batch 6 (found in his home on Forest Road North of Crossed Blades). Reward: Isaac’s Notes and 3200 Epic XP.

7. End of Demon Curse - Alexandria has found a way to let you wear that demon gear without losing XP every minute! Bring her a Blank Tome (found on the bookcase in Underworld: Delusion) and 10 buckets of Demon Blood (found by killing Gate Demons in Underworld: 9 Gates). She will use the materials to write you a book you can read (use) every reset that will protect you from the demon curse. Reward: End of the Demon Curse and 6400 Epic XP

8. A strange collector - Alexandria has a collector who would like you to find 3 items: a Wish (can be purchased for 1,000,000 GP in Gathol Lab B from Tananada), a Treasure Map (found by helping Lord Wick in the Crossed Blades Castle with his rat problem), and a Soul Gem (Random drop from underworld demons after Underworld Depression area). Reward: Alexandria’s Thanks and 12800 Epic XP

Total Epic XP: 25,500.

Well worth the efforts, and wish, in my opinion.

Side note, HC's do not lose 1/2 of this experience.
