How the Forest of Orcs was found…

Story

Introduction - Eastlands While on my adventure, I was messing around in Eastlands with Nina Nefzen, my Arcane Archer, shooting goblins for target practice because I was getting bored. There was a horde of them running towards me one after another with their swords and shields, cursing at me. They soon sealed their fate by getting in my way, those tiny filthy green bloods. With spawners around the map, I could hear the darn cows mooing endlessly and found a little campsite of orcs and shamans. Shockingly enough, they made a pot of food which looked bloody gross to the eye. It smelled bad with a brown look, and I know for a fact it's no curry. Out of nowhere, there was an opening near some trees, but it was not a roadway. It was a stream of water to another location.

The Crossroads - I stepped into the Eastlands Crossroads, which was a new sight to behold. It looked gloomy and dusty, as if not much goes on around here. I am sure it has seen battle. As I started moving forward, I saw an old sign which had seen better days. I examined it; it did not inform me much of directions apart from telling me there is a forest of orcs to the west. Looks like I am going WEST…

The Forest of Orcs - As I entered the forest, it had a smell of dirty green mist which would make you gag. The forest was big, and you could easily get lost or, worse, find the unexpected. I navigated from the road and found some chests. I was concerned if these would be trapped or, worse, mimics. I opened one and it had a magic ring, a gem, and a heal scroll. It does not sound too bad for a low-level area with nice chests like those. The forest was full of Forest Orcs. You have to keep your eyes open and focus on incoming attacks or being spotted. It seems like there were tents to be found and a campfire with some potions which come in handy.

The Forest of Orcs: Tent - I went inside one of the tents and saw some pots and hay. Damn, the smell is awful. Inside the tent, there were some orcs talking, but all of a sudden, they saw me. With their fury, they came towards me, but they were soon to die. One of them was a champion; it seems. No matter, he surely died by my arrows. This tent was clear. Let's look inside the other. As I entered the other tent, it looked more challenging since now I see the chief with his spear, and he cast an aura of cold which caught me off guard. He sure was a challenge. I looked around and not much was to be found in either tent.

Summary - Finding this forest of orcs is an unexpected find for sure. Low-level players will find this location challenging but not without its prizes and rewards. Fair warning: take your time and keep yourself healed.


Information List

Location: Eastlands. Top right of the map near the orc camp. Look for a water stream and tree opening. You will find Crossroads. Head west up the hill to find the Forest of Orcs.

Items: Look for chests. You will find two campfires with potions, items, and gold in them.

Tents: There are two tents in the Forest of Orcs.

Level: Level 3 – Level 6

Creatures: In the Forest of Orcs, some are melee, some are ranged, and some are casters. (The Orc Chieftain and Champion are in the tents.)

Time: You can finish the area in 10 – 20 minutes, depending on your pace.
