Mithrilfin Census
So, this is your first visit to the Ruins of Mithrilfin? Well let me show you around a bit.
Wandering around town we can see a few of the regular folk in this tiny village.
The first resident you need to interact with is Swan Mithrilfin. Even if you have multiple bags full to the brim with mithril, you must speak with her before you can start making donations of mithril to improve your reputation with the residents. She is just to the north after you enter the gates. Some of the buildings will not allow you to enter until your mithril donation total is a certain level or higher. Donations are made at the Mithril Scales.
Soinja Deepforge is wandering around town and has a chip on her shoulder. Apparently her father was slain by the evil Petra and she would like to reward you for proof of the monster's death. She does require your mithril count to be decent. A friend tried with a count of 501 and she wouldn't give the quest, but she would give me the quest at 1200.
Drom Stonemaster Stands guard at the Crafters' Guild building. After you reach a mithril count of 1000 or higher he will let you enter the Crafters' Guild.
Ledur Mithrilfin stands guard near the mithril scales and the Pillar Building. He is a quiet fellow and doesn't have much to say up to this point.
Grimwil stands near a door on the south side of the Foundry and says, "You cant help me, Surface Dweller!" I assume he will speak to other dwarves, but this has not been proven yet.
Fierce Deepforge Likes to wander around within town and once your mithril count is over 400 he will offer you a key to the gates on the sides of town. Much exploring has happened beyond these gates.
Thron Stonemaster, if he likes you,(mithril count over 500) he will tell you about the Mithril Pillars and their functions.
These are just the folks not in the buildings in town.
If you wish to venture into the Fine Mithril Goods shop you must have a mithril count of 300 or greater. Inside you will find two brothers selling mithril wares.
Drango Mithrilfin has a few items on display, and some that are not seen in the shop. Here is a quick list:
Kama
` Hammer
Great Axe
Scythe
Mithril Atomizer
The Knuckles for the monk can be obtained also, but only through a conversation.
Drongo Mithrilfin Is also a vendor and he sells some Mithril items his brother does not:
Greatsword
Bastard Sword
Lightning Rod
King Midas' hand
Potions of heal in stacks of one or ten.
On the east end of the same building the b]Fine Mithril Goods[/b] shop is located there is a deceptive little door that leads to a massive shop. The Character Appearance Mart was not discovered until we all had a mithril count of around 1000, but we are pretty sure it shares the same access as the shop they share a building with. Inside this shop you will find these wonderful folks that seem to provide free, or cheap services.
Propcessor Freya Dye sells a rainbow of dyes for cloth, metal, and leather. Her prices:
Cloth Dyes 30 gp
Leahter Dyes 30 gp
Metal Dyes 29 gp
Seraphim has decended from the heavens to alter the bodies of some mortals. She will alter your appearance by adding or removing wings and Tails. Both the tail and wing options are on display around her booth. The tails have 3 options and the wing options include a lot of choices of things other than wings, like scabbards and quivers. All seem to be free of charge.
Cosmos Tailor is as his name describes, He is a magical tailor that can either craft you some new clothing or custom tailor the items you are wearing. Magically he makes your options appear on his mannequins and you select the options you like. Very interactive, and apparently free alterations.
Benrig Mithrilfindoes cloak appearance alterations. Basically you start up a conversation and he will display the next option in his inventory. Do not worry, if you grabbed some dye from Freya and finally got the exact mix you like, the color changes will stay when you get your new cloak appearance. Seems to be free of charge.
Gamma Grill likes to make modifications to your helmet, and like Benrig, you start a conversation and run through the options he provides. Again Free.
Across from Fine Mithril Goods you can find the Foundry. Inside the foundry you can interact with a variety of individuals.
Kludge Deepforge has the ability to turn mithril into dye for your armor.
Gronce Ironbright has been known to upgrade weapons and with the proper materials can even make projectiles from their beloved metal.
Nordrri Deepforge will only talk to Dwarves, and we assume he makes armor for the Dwarven Defenders.
Negnar Farstriker also will not talk to me. Name sounds like he wants to chat with an archer.
Kimly Ironbright can turn mithril into a nice tool that enhances your weapon. It's charges do not seem to reset at resting, so be careful to recharge it or, have Kimly make you a few.
Sharing the building with the foundry are the Prison Cells. I am hesitant to try much in there because the warden, Warden Wolf and all of his Mithrilfin Prision Guards seem pretty serious about guarding their prisoners. All of those guards for one Kathryl Mithrilfin and what appears to be a Vortex Aberration. These two must be pretty dangerous.
if you get your mithril count higher than 1000 you can enter the Crafters Guild. this is the circular building near the foundry. There are 4 crafters in here and a strange altar looking thing called Evil Recharger who's potential has not yet been discovered by this adventurer.
Justin, who apparently is Yanston's (You know the ranger collecting bandit rings?) son is in here making armor for rogues and archers.
Samir Nagheenanajar sends you on a quest to kill orks and bring a bag of their ears to him. He is also rumored to upgrade some deadly rapiers.
Lagnar Danvil sends you on a quest to fight drow and if you acquire the needed parts form the drow, he will craft you an excellent pair of boots.
Crom is a kind of scary creature that resembles a Minotaur, but he seems friendly enough and offers to make you a Massive power core to charge Lightning rod, or golem.
Thus completes the tour of the ruins of Mithrilfin. Hopefully this helps some young adventurer in their exploration of this town.
respectfully submitted for a publishing contract for Krampus.
