Arcane notes of Tuebits Volume 1: augmented arcane spells
In my centuries of roaming, I have come across a world named 12 Dark Secrets. I have decided to stay awhile and have found the people here quite easy to get along with, and the variety of places to explore and secrets to unravel to be quite vast.
While exploring I have come across items and materials with enigmatic properties. Upon research, and experimentation I have found that some of these items actually augment some of my arcane spells. I have also perceived that some spells seem to have be fortified just being within this world.
I will scribe out the spells I have worked out, and how to augment them. This is a work in progress and I may have more to add at a later date.
Great Thunderclap: appears to have a damage component added that is based off your spellcraft
Meteor Swarm : collecting 1 mastery of fire, and 1 hint of fire in your pack augments the damage of this spell.
Sunburst: As with meteor swarm, 1 fire mastery, and 1 hint of fire ( both) in your pack augments the damage of this spell as well.
I would suggest keeping 1 of every mastery, and 1 of every elemental hint in your pack, there may be other spells bolstered by this augment, I have no verified yet.
Greater Ruin : The lasting dragon eye inspiration in your pack along with the grinning skull from underworld coma seems to greatly fortify this spell, the higher the inspiration's level, the more it bolsters the spell
Horrid Wilting : a creature known as Wrath of the Elements has been known to drop a Horrid Visage, this boosts the horrid Wilting damage
Hellball : collecting the elemental masteries from the Elderkin increases this powerful spell. Maximum effect is achieved when have 1 of each mastery( cold, fire, acid, lightning)
Mummy Dust : apparently having 2 different specific blades in your inventory for your summon to draw power from Bolsters his effectiveness.
- Crimson Blade X- other book entries reference how to construct this blade. see chasing the blade
- Kopesh(sp) - a short sword that has been rumored to come from the depths of the underworld (death)
- Life's End (the key to Death)
Ice Storm : combine 3 scrap iron located either inside Ganthol Labrynth off the steel golem, or purchase from the private shop in X Blades to create a steel ring
obtain a hint of ice from the greater Elderkin
Climb the mountain in the northern regions, I highly recommend working out both cardio and strength. dex and str will need to be built up to at least 30 Base to accomplish this task
There is rumored to be an ice queen at the summit, you must battle her and obtain a shard of ice, she may not be carrying this component, but she rejuvenates, and may have it next time.
There is a device located there called a fusion, you must place the steel ring, hint of ice, and the shard of ice into the fusion, to activate the reaction, cast Cone of Cold upon this device.
this will produce a cold steel ring, wearing this ring empowers your Ice Storm, Ice dagger, and cone of cold spells.
IGMS : complete the library quest to obtain the isaccs' notes, and have those within your pack along with the golden dagger.
Chain Lightning (wizard only) : Mastery lightning, hint of lightning, Electrified spinal cord from aurum plane power, Massive power core obtained from a quest, see book written on this.
Ball Lightning (lvl5 + wiz or Sorc) : same materials as Chain lightning, but also must have the Lightning Rod which can be purchased in mithrifin venders.
This concludes the augmented spells I have discovered to date, I shall continue to research, explore rumors, interview, and divine the possibilities of more.
