The Doom shield is obtained from the alter in the Drow Tower.  Talk to the alter and it will request 4 things:
1. Myth count of 1000.
2. Celestial shield
3. +7 hag shield
4. Doom nugget.

1a. Myth count is built by handing Mithril dust, chips and nuggets into the mithril scale in
       Mithrilfin
2a. Celestial shield:   Queen beetle shield that drops in East Lands off the Large Beetle.
                                       Final Word Shield:  Collect 15 Elder Kin Claws and turning them into
                                       the Slings Dragon in Cross Blades.  Chose the third speaker plain.
                                       The Golden Kite Shield: 9 Golden Nuggets. Combine 3 Golden
                                       Nuggets at a time in Load stone mine forge to get a gold bar.  
                                       Combine 3 gold bars to get the item to teleport you to the gold
                                       plain.  Select golden kite shield.
                                       Take these 3 items to the Celestial Plain, and trade them to the
                                       smithy for the Celestial Shield.
3a. Hag shield is obtained by collecting keystones and them turning them in for random Hag
       items from the rock pile.
4a. Doom nugget is obtained randomly from the boss guarding the alter.
       Meet these four circumstances at the alter in the Drow Tower to receive your doom shield

***You MUST have the Celestial Shield with you to get the dialog from the alter***
